Previously, we outlined the reasons for removing palm oil from your diet. The production of palm oil and its consumption is responsible for displacement of indigenous peoples, deforestation and loss of biodiversity.
However, there's now also evidence that palm oil increases your risk of certain types of cancer. The evidence is only reported in mice so far but additional research is needed.
I realize the removal of some of these types of foods from your diet may be difficult. I implore you to try, as this is one of the major reasons for deforestation in certain tropical areas.
If you have trouble removing it from your diet, then call/email/write the companies using palm oil and tell them to stop killing you and the rainforest.
